Thoroughbred Charities of AmericaTCA is the charitable arm of TOBA. TCA's mission is to provide a better life for Thoroughbred both during and after their racing careers by supporting rescue, retirement and research and by helping the people who work with them. TCA grants funds to organizaitons in four categories including: Thoroughbred rescue, retirement, retraining and adoption; research; education and backstretch programs; and therapeutic riding programs. With the support of the Thoroughbred industry, TCA has distributed more than $18 million in grants over the past 21 years to over 200 organizations. Each year, TCA's primary fundraiser is a Stallion Season Auction held in Lexington, Ky. The 22nd annual TCA Stallion Season Auction will be held January 4-6, 2012.
